Gary Caplan, Inc. is a licensing consulting firm and we provide
a number of different services to our clients. Primarily,
we provide our clients with valuable insight, information,
and advice about properties and about the licensing industry
in general.
The fundamental duties of GCI to its’ manufacturer
clients include:
- We furnish information and an understanding
about licensor operations and licensing trends. We keep
our clients informed on day-to-day developments in the
licensing business. In other words, we gather marketing
intelligence and disseminate that information to
our clients and help our clients stay ahead of their competition.
- We help our clients evaluate licenses.
- We are available to our clients as much as needed. We
represent our clients at licensing trade shows and at
licensor meetings and we participate in client meetings
when asked to do so.
- We provide extensive research on licensed properties.
- We offer general advice and counsel on licensing
matters including contractual issues and questions.
- We help with proposals, approvals, negotiations, and
even creative direction when asked.
- We provide guidance, and we help in problem
solving, before and after the agreement is signed.
- We work at all levels to make sure that our clients
are positioned and viewed as an industry leader in their
categories.
- We help clients devise workable strategies in order
to maximize licensing’s potential while at the same
time minimize its risks.
- We act as a steady and influencing force. We see ourselves
as members of our clients’ marketing team. We are
